Hello, from Orange County, CA

hello everyone,

wanted to say hi, just purchased a 1998 VFR800FI.

this is my third bike, just came from a very well liked Ninja 500 that unfortunately died on me three months back.

This is my first fuel injected bike so I'm glad to be finally done with carburetors. I've read many good things on this bike and I hope it will last me the rest of this decade. I like to do my own basic maintenance except for valves

I have already ordered a new R/R and a front tire since the previous owner was riding on front tire that was 9 years old. I have the service manual which should be helpful.



The bike came with a erion racing full exhaust, which I plan on switching back to stock along with the center stand. So expect to see a Ebay listing soon with that exhaust along with a corbin seat.

Welcome. But you ain't got it unless you post evidence of it. I think you will enjoy your new to you ride. We have quite a few Orangecountians here.

Cool! How about a Santiago Canyon ride? Close enough for everyone? I will go but need some time to change my fluids and evaluate the hot foot I keep getting on my new to me 93.
