    Hi I'm Rhino 88

    I live in Wellington New Zealand I ride a 1999 VFR 800 and a 2000 VTR Firestorm 1000 V2.
Since September last year when I bought the VFR 800 the VTR doesn't get a lot of use the VFR is just so much better at everything except explosive acceleration. Also the VTR is almost impossible to ride at "street legal" speeds and so VFR is more likely to ensure that I don't incur too many speeding fines.
I am looking forward to reading lots from other VFR owners and celebrating owning the best sports tourer ever built.
    Cheers
    :vtr2:

Kia ora Rhino - great to see another Kiwi on the forum!

Nice choice of bikes for your garage. Are you going to put some pics up in your album? I'd be tempted to make you an offer on the VTR if I still lived in NZ!

Thanks for the welcome guys.Yeah K1W1 not hard to work out that the VTR will get the flick, but bad time to try and sell with winter coming on and now 91 octane has hit $2.12 a litre a bike that gets 180 kms out of a 16 litre tank is not likely to attract a lot of interest from riders that don't own their own oil well. Pics to go up soon.
PS 460km ride with local Ulysses Club yesterday to Hunterville and back through Waiarapa on a magic almost summer day 31 bikes and 6.5 hours of fun on some brilliant twisty back country farm roads,"motorcycle heaven":thumb::happy::smokin:

Yikes gasoline is > $8.00 per gallon - and everyone complains about the price of gasoline in the US!

Sounds like you had a great ride... did you take any pics along the way?

Don't forget to sign into this thread - any other kiwis out there
