Well, over 1100 miles on the VFR, techniques improving and riding in traffic like they are out to run over me. Never knew motorcycle riding can be so much fun! Two mods so far: headlight modulator installed (easy), blinking LED stop lights installed (not so easy). No other plans for the pipes or anything, I like how the bike looks, sounds, and rides. Been reading about people's experiences with the VFR here, appreicate the advice and commentaries. VFR is a big bike for a 1st time rider, but like what others have said, it's the attitude about riding and safely that can make a big difference. Having a perfect driving record and manual transmission experience also help, methinks. Safe riding, Pat
Oh gross- a brown shoe! J/k- honest! take that military training and mindset and apply it to your riding and you will go far.
Hey Pat. Welcome to the group and the world ov the V-4. Sweet looking ride man. Ride like they are out to get ya! I wish oyu many safe and fun journeys.

Thanks all. I agree, haven't seen too many VFRs around town (saw a 6G while driving to work the other day), just too many HDs around this part of TX (Plano-Allen).
Where did you get that vest at? Looks nicer than the road repair versions they sell at the exchange....
The hi-vis vest is by Olympia, http://www.olympiamotosports.com/nova/nova.htm You may find them at your local bike store.
