been a fan of the VFR for a few years. owned a ducati ST3s for the last 4 years, and had the chance to ride my buddys 2005 VFR in the mountains quite a bit over the last several years. the ducati is getting up in miles, and i wanted a sport touring bike (more SPORT than touring) with less maintenance. the VFR fits that bill, and still offers the character and "soul" that the ducati had. today i found a zero mile 2007 interceptor locally (25th anniversary paint), and traded the ducati for it. i've only put 20 miles on it so far, but i thought it would be fun to join this forum and say hello. i know i have learned a lot and had fun on the ducati forums........so........here i am. i am 45 years old, been riding on the street for 24 years, and on the dirt for longer than that. i still have a ducati monster S4R for local rides, but i wanted something i can tour on and not have to tear apart every year for valve checks, and cam belt changes. i am looking forward to learning as much as i can about this great motorcycle, and hopefully, contributing to this forum. casey
Welcome here! And yes we love pictures. It is good to see you chose the fastest color(s)! <smile> Post up your location as well. There may be lots of members near you to ride with, or at least get together and watch it snow.......til spring. Did you get the factory hard bags with it? They look and work great. If not can I suggest you put 2006 white ones on it?
here she is, fresh from the motorcycle store. chain seems a little tight, but i'll look again after our ride this morning.
