I am new to this forum, so please excuse any hick ups!!! I currently own a Yellow 1999 VFR from new, it is near to stock and has 41K+ miles. I am looking to change out the forks (pitted), upgrade the springs + replace the rear shock (starting to wallow under a heavy load, passenger or luggage), all in one shot. I am led to believe that (from reading such as Motorcycle Consumer News) the installation and set up is as important as the choice of springs and shock. Living in the Calabasas area of LA I therefore would appreciate suggestions on: 1. A make and model of aftermarket suspension (front and rear) for my bike. 2. What I might expect to pay, including installation and tuning (by a reputable suspension guru, since this is beyond my scope of ability). 3. A suggestion of an afore mentioned reputable suspension guru in my area. Many kind thanks in advance.
