    Greetings,

I am the kind of guy who needs to keep busy. With that being said I'm on my way now to look at a pretty nice 1986 VFR 750f. Pretty set on it so I joined up.

Bike looks clean, owned by someone who cares and is not trashed to death. I realize that later years had much needed upgrades but a clean bike is my first priority.

My GF bought me a motorcycle lift table for Christmas so I need to put something on it! My Hayabusa has been done for years.

I'll be doing some reading here and will post pictures when I can.

    Merry Christmas!

Yeah, trying to upload now. I'll figure it out.

Just got back so here are my thoughts. I did not expect to find a super clean VFR. It's all there but it needs a little work.

    1) Plastics will need repainted and fixed where cracked.
    2) Fork seals leaking.
    3) Small stuff like tail light, rear turn signals etc.
    4) Has a small dent in tank.
    5) Hoses look fresh, wheel bearings changed and chain/sprockets look good.
    6) Tires are fairly new.
    7) Dead battery.
    8) 53,000 plus on odo.
    9) Jumps out of second gear.

He forgot to bring the key (moving) so I could not here it run.

    Here are a few pictures.

Also, Vin number plate says 2/86.. vfr 700. It was advertised as a VFR 750f.

I did not purchase this yet. I'm counting on some feedback here and doing a lot of reading. Not sure if this is the one. He wants to sell but price is just way to high for what I think it needs. He was at $1900 then went to $1800 and now it's $1600. I'm sure he would take less. I figure $800. LOL!

It needs some work which is not an issue but body work and paint ain't cheap. Add to that I haven't heard it run yet!
