Hey everyone. I am new to the site. I recently became an owner of a 1987 VFR700F2. The bike needs a little work to get it on the roads, and needs just about everything Cosmetic wise. I am interested in doing mods as far as exhaust, wider wheels, jet kits, newer gauges/speedometer (instead of the ugly square ones) in the future after I get the bike on the road. So if anyone can share their wisdom on places to find parts/body, and how to do the mods, it would be greatly appreciated...

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone, and hopefully can learn a great deal.

    Thanks,

    Trize007

    welcome T.

best bet is to ask some Q's in the 1&2 gen forum section ... after you've done your homework of course ;-)

We all like to see pictures to... visually stimulated I guess... and then you get to see the progress you made fixing up the bike.

    good look with your VFR

Nice work Trize! I was thinking that you were fond of Yamaha "TRI-Z" threewheelers for a second there. You'll get a better chance at responses with your post(s) up. More people to see them.

I can tell you that most of your parts will probably come from searching, searching, searching, and E-bay/Craigslist. Not a lot of parts made for a 21 year old bike anymore. Keep looking on those sites, and for people "parting out" a bike.
