I just thought I would introduce myself to those of you who may read this. My name is Kirk, I live in Salt Lake City Utah. I have a 2002 VFR that I have had for about 3 years now. I have always had a fascination with the VFR/Interceptors ever since they first came into the states in the mid 80's. I remember visiting my dad at his work (which hapened to be a honda dealership) as a child and drooling over the Interceptors every time. I have riden bikes since I was 5. I have been married for 8 years as of this June and have the cutest little boy who will be 3 in June. I have done a lot of mods to my bike which are as follows: Motad headers, Micron slip-ons, K & N air filter, Power Comander III usb, O2 eliminators, 2 teeth down in the front, a higher tinsel strength x-ring chain, Speedo Healer, Carbon fiber rear hugger, & HID headlights. I think thats the majority of what I've done to my bike . I love going on nice long rides and anything to do with the outdoors. I have been going to the AMA superbike races at Miller Motorsports Park ever since the track has been opened. This Year it will be a real big deal because of them adding the world superbike championships into the mix! I can't wait to go. The last 2 years that I,ve gone I have been able to stop and chat with Miguel Duhamel after the last race each year:biggrin: ! Anyway I will end it with that. Happy Ridding everyone.
Welcome. That is quite the laundry list of mods you have there. The one I'm most interested in are the headers. Were they worth the cash? I was just in SLC on Sat & Sun. It's beautiful out there. I wish NJ had scenery like that. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
Headers Thanks for your reply. Yes Utah does have some great scenery just about anywhere you go. As to your question about the headers and if it was worth the price, I would have to say yes if you like a big gain in power and being able to rev up faster. Seems how they come stock with that nasty flow restricting cat, it really woke the bike up after putting them on. I do however wish that before I put them on that I would have had them polished first, but oh well that can be a winter project for me. I have had lots of fun suprising everyone with what this bike can do!
