    Hello fellow VFR riders,

I am very new to the bike and this is my first post on this forum. I picked up my 02 VFR Saturday afternoon and have put a little over 100mi on it since and I gotta say, this thing is awesome! The bike I was previously riding (but still own) is a 2013 Honda CBR250R Repsol, I loved that bike, and still do. I've never ridden a bike this fast before, (noob) I am definitely loving the bike.

Anyhow, just wanted to say hello.

By the way the bike is an 02 model, 14,700mi on the odo, completely stock and damn near perfect (minus 2 rock chips)

    Thank you!
Yes, I already have some mods in mind. Fender eliminator, that thing on the back has got to go! Slip-on exhaust and a pwr commander. Not sure what else after that. Oh and a bottle of touch-up paint for the 2 tiny rock chips that imperfected the bike.

Oh and also, the dealer I got it from replaced the rear tire with a Michelin Pilot Road 2 (I think thats what it's called,) new battery, and EBC race brake pads.

I would hope the Dealer, being a Honda dealer, already did the recalls, or that the previous owner had it done, but I will call tomorrow and find out for sure. The prev owner took exceptional care of the bike (it's a 1 owner,) and that is evident when you see/ride it. So I would guess it's all been done, but better safe then sorry.

    May I suggest?

Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator Kit Fits Honda VFR800 Interceptor 2002 2008 | eBay

Exhaust System Honda VFR 800 V Tech from 2002 Double GPR Poppy System with Y Pip | eBay

I have both of these accessories and am well pleased

For the chips ColorRite Motorcycle Paint our color code is R157 "Italian Red" I believe it is.

Oh and you might want some Helibars if your going any distance or find the stock bars uncomfortable. They list for $279.00 everywhere, but there is a gal on eBay that will let you have them for $250 still too high I know!

Note to self: Call Honda Dealer tomorrow about recall...if the phone is busy, I will know who is on the line!

Thanks for the info! Any sound clips of the exhaust? I'd love to hear it. I kind of have the Leo Vince in mind. I have the same leo vince on my CBR250R and I love it. I already have the Competition Werkes fender eliminator in my cart on Revzilla.com, the exhaust will have to wait a little bit. As far as bars are concerned, I'm ok with the stock, but I would like a suggestion on grips though.

I have had a set of Helibars for over a year now. Paid 100 bucks previously bought, times 2 but never installed. They were still in the shipping bubble wrap. Matter of fact, they still are. Maybe a winter project.

Welcome to the site. You will get used to the slower pace of the red ones.

Cha, i'm soon to get my daughter off her dirt bike & get her the CBR250. Would like to find her one with ABS, does yours have ABS? If so, does it function well? Sbe sat on one at the dealer the other day, she's not flat footed so about 6mo to a yr she'll grow into it (14yr old).
Welcome aboard, you found a nice '02!!
