Hello all, from Long Island, NY.

Howdy, everyone.
I purchased my 2002 VFR 800 5 weeks ago with about 5,600 miles and I'm loving it so much that today I will roll 8,000 miles on the odometer!

I was lucky to have bought it from an enthusiast and it was very clean with good tires at the time of purchase ...just needed a new battery and chain lube and to be ridden more often.

Initially bought for commuting 100 miles a day, the VFR has been great, as well as for short trips, doing motorcycle duty at bike races, running errands and just plain pleasure riding. Also got some sidecases on it to make commuting life easier.

My motorcycling history started with a '92 Vespa: 2T, 4 speed with clutch that i gradually tweaked to do 60-65mph reliably. :-D. Then got myself a Suzuki GS500...excellent little motorcycle that was essy to ride, fix and commute on, but for long trips it was a bit more buzzy.
