I have a 00, it came with a set of Heli Bars on it when I bought it last year. After reading several references to the locator tabs I got curious and pulled both bars up and found zero tabs of any kind on the bars and no indication of there having been any. Is this normal and is it a real problem. I've been riding the bike for a year with no trouble.
It wouldn't be too much of a problem to fabricate some kind of replacement tab but is it really worth the effort.
    Thanks,

Mine doesn't have them either and that's how they came from the manufacturer. I never worried about it, they work fine just like they are.

i belive the tabs you are talking about are the locator tabs on the stock bars, if so they are on stock bars so that there is no alignment issues with the stock bars.

I just slid my stock bars up and tightened them down (after removing the stopper rings on the fork)

It might comfort you to know that no race clip-one have tabs, and as long as they are properly torqued, there is no problem.

Here's a tip for you on the side...to help with proper alignment, get them aligned exactly as you want them, then use a scribe tool of some sort to make a mark on the clipon that lines up with a mark or part of the triple (or even make the mark on both parts. From that point on, whenever you need to loosen them or move them around, you can quickly line them back up just right with no fiddling around.

    Thanks for all the replies,
I like the idea of marking the positions, Ill do that just as soon as I figure out where I like them.
