I've got grip heaters from 2wheelinnovations.com. They are the same as the Dual-Stars. Today it was 18F outside. They heated up fast and kept my hands toasty.

I wired up the fuse and relay one evening. Took about 30 minutes.

I attached the heaters and switch another afternoon and it took about 1.5 hrs.

I'm not electrically inclined. Did a lot of web research and found what I needed before attacking the job. Saved me a lot of headaches and time.

I installed a set similar to the Dual Stars in late fall and it was great. Paid for themselves with the ride to Lake George NY the last weekend of October.

I used a relay in the wiring circuit so the switch isn't hot all the time, just when the bike is on.
Future mod is to eliminate the switch and add a Heat-troller. Fellow rider did this and found there is much more heat to be gained using the heat-troller. There is a lot of loss in the stock switch and resistor that's in the stock kit.

I installed a set similar to the Dual Stars and they worked wonders. Also added a set of gel grips while I was at it.

I added a relay to the wiring to they're hot only when the bike is switched on. Also, fellow rider who installed them ditched the switch and added a heat-troller. A lot more adjustability and more heat if you want it. There is a lot of loss in the stock switch and capacitor (resistor?) that comes with the switch.
