    anyone have one of the gipro-x gear indicator on their VFR? if so, how do you like it, how well does it work?

    Two separate questions IMO. I don't have one and never will unless on some future bike it's OEM.

    These gadgets probably work just fine. OTW they do the job.

    One should be able to judge what gear the bike is in by the sound of the engine or by looking at the tach.

    How large a readout is of importance too.

    Generally, just another farkle that demands attention and takes one's eyes off the task at hand.
