Just tried to replace the left headlight on my Y2k. Bought the replacement part at Renton Honda / suzi / kawi / you get the picture. Near Seattle. "geeeze we're all outta Honda lights - here use this one from a Suzi. same part - it'll work." fine.......... I'm on the run & the bike is 3 states away & i gotta catcha plane to get there. I buy it & away I go. I get to the bike & after much eyeballing the situation & looking in the manual, i figger I'll give it a try without taking off the front cowl & instrument cluster & wheel & fender. So i figure out "the squeeze the socket" & get that off. then i wiggle the dust cover out. then i undo the wire retaining clip. and i pull out the bulb. whew. got it. then i put the new bulb in. hmmm...maybe rotate it 180. nope. the FrEEkIN tabs are FreekIN Different the stupid M&therf&8ker that told me they matched FReeKin LIED to me. sonofabitch. Now i gotta try to remember the sequence for the install after i find a new bulb & it will be 3 weeks till i can get back to the shop & shove this up the parts guy's ass. :gun3: grrr. /soapbox. Moral to the story: Suzi lights & Honda lights don't necessarily match. AND Take the original part with you to the store.....well....duh, i guess. As i have said many times. I'm no wrench. this situation calls for a beer............i know i can do that........
friggin bulbs Not sure what is going on but I have never had an issue with replacement bulbs till gen 3.....can't find a bulb to fit in the tabs correctly................................................parts guys are like deer in the headlights...........................it is so simple I can't choke down I am having this conversation............................did I mention the anger over such a simple thing?I am almost ready to order factory bulbs just so I can sleep at night.....OCD.Sorry it has been bugging me ....does it show?
