I've been having trouble with my headlight for some time now. When I first start my bike the headlight is nice and bright. Then after about 20-25 seconds it dims down quite a bit and pretty much stays that way. However, sometimes while I'm riding it will suddenly get really bright again and it seems to coincide with a change in engine RPM's. It's pretty annoying because it needs to be bright all the time for safety and it can sometimes happen and make it seems like I'm flashing my highbeams at other vehicles.

I changed the bulb some time ago and I also run an Electrosport R/R. Not really sure what could be the problem.

Carefully inspect both plugs to/from the R/R, then inspect wires atop starter relay. Look for melted or scorched bits.

Could be dirty/corroded switch contacts on hi/lo switch.

Put a voltmeter across battery terminals with engine at 5000 rpm to check charging volts.

Thanks squirrelman, will do! It's been a while back now, but when I used to park the bike after riding it would smell like something electrical was burning. I'd check around under the seat, but could never find anything. The smell finally stopped. I ride this bike pretty much daily and it doesn't miss a beat other than this headlight deal.
