PO cut the head light plug off the wiring harness so I need to fix this. I got a H4 headlight plug off another vehicle, so the wiring colors do not match up. Could someone tell me which color wire goes to what part of the plug. Thanks,

on which bike? if its the VFR I'm not sure. green is your ground for Honda, blue is high beam, and white is low. now where those 3 go on the plug, I'm not sure. white is likely directly across from ground as thats how low beam is wired for the H4 bulbs, and blue goes on the top prong, for high beam.

Stop guessing . You can only measure electrons.

You need a workshop manual and a multimeter.

You did not even tell us what kind of motorcycle we are talking about.

Sorry the bike is an 86 VFR. I have the honda shop manual but it does not show this detail. I also have the wiring diagram but it is very hard to see with my old weary eyes. So I am just being lazy and seeing if anyone might just take a look at their plug and tell me.

Bench test the bulb with a 12v battery to find out which lead is high and low. The center tab is ground. So the right or left is low and or high beam. Looking at bulb from the prong side with the center prong up, I believe the right prong is low beam and left is high beam.

Blue should be the high beam wire, green ground.
