Ok, I am a new VFR owner, I got a 2003 with only 1500 miles. The bike had been wrecked, but everything seem to be ok.

I have put about 500 miles on the bike with no real problems.

I just noticed the other day that there was a mark on the front fender, I think it happen when I pulled in my drive way a bit too hot. After that I started paying more attention to the from end, and it seem to dive when I hit the brakes, I am a pretty big guy 6'2 and 250, is there something wrong? or do I just need to upgrade the springs? The seals look good no leaks they just seem to be pretty soft.

    Any suggestions would be helpfull!
This is really a great site.

First of all, I am assuming that you checked the forks out good, and they are undamaged and not leaking. What hit the fender, the horn?

Sounds like you for sure need to adjust your preload in from the previous owner I am sure....assuming he is lighter than you. If that is not enough, you can get a little heavier weight fork oil, and upgrade to stiffer springs.

LOL , first off yes you're having trouble if you have front shocks, LOL.... Mmm those would be called forks. Man sounds like there's something going on there, no way should they be bottoming out like that. I'd take it to a dealer and have it looked at since I can't see it from here. But no it shouldn't be doing that even at your size. Could be a number of things, thats why I said have a dealer or a suspension professional take a look.
