Hi guys. Anyone ever tried to fit a non OEM center stand in to a 1986 vfr? I've looked for a long time for one on EBAY but they never seem to come up. Center stands for VF's are pretty common and cheap however.

Why in the world would you want a centerstand? If your'e goung to do maintenance, just get a swing arm stand. Extra weight, and ugly to boot. I still really enjoy ridind my 86 around and it's still a lot of fun. Without the center stand. Darn cheese heads. Yeah, I got one you can have. But I should probably paint it pink first ;) pm me off list. But I won't drive to Madison. Too many hippies there. Cheese heads unite!

With a center stand you could could raise the rear end and the front with a little help from a jack. Just install it for maintenance then take it off. I borrowed a motorcycle lift but it's a pain using it because of those pipes underneath.

PM sent to both if vejesse doesn't want them.

Tomatoe, tomato, some people want them, some don't. I like them on bikes, I'm not really worried about the 3 pound weight savings or the "cool" look of removing them.

If anyone else has some center stands they don't want for their 86-87 750/700, I am interested.
