You'll probably have to keep looking on the net for the bags if you are set on OEM. You could try checking on Craigslist as well. If you don't mind going to the aftermarket, Givi and SWMototech make some nice hard luggage. Not sure if the mounting kits are still made for the 94-97 but maybe a look at the GiviUSA site or maybe try the TwistedThrottle.com website. If Givi doesn't make the mount kits any more for the 94-97 either, it may at least give you a larger scope to search for used stuff.

Thanks, I got a feeling after looking around the net that OEM will be hard to find. That is my preference, but not an absolute. Givi makes an E21, saw some pics of them on a VFR, look fine. It's really more about the utility than the looks. Thanks for your input, I'll look at twisted throttle.

Another place you could try is A Vicious Cycle

I purchased a Givi mounting rack for my 2000 VFR from them and the rack was a bit more money than the guys at Twisted Throttle, but in my particular case the shipping charge was lower since they were in Canada. When I ordered the rack I didn't realize that the mounting plate was extra, and when I called the company order desk to see which of the two base plates I needed (the Monokey or Monolock), they were extremely helpful and easy to deal with.

I don't think there were ever any "OEM" hard bags available for the 4th Gens. And I don't think GIVI catalogs their aftermarket racks for it anymore either. Used is probably going to be your bet bet. Good Luck.

    Hey Timothy

I was posting up an ad for a solo seat cowl I have for sale and I came across this ad on another forum for a Givi rack with mounting hardware for a 4th gen VFR (94-97). Check it out if your interested.
