Wow, I remember when those came out. A nice piece for sure. You know, anti-dive was the big thing back in those days, and Honda's TRAC was the best of the bunch by far. My 700 Nighthawk S had it too and it worked really well. By comparison, I was turning wrenches at a Kaw/Suz dealer at the time. Both had their own anti-dive systems...similar to each other, but totally different from Honda's. Honda's WAS the best of the bunch! And oh those 16" front wheels! Funny how technology evolves. What a blast from the past ya got there bro.

i bought this bike the day it came out !! came home from work, took Cycle Magazine out of the mailbox, read the article, call Honda dealer (Dad was buddies with the owner) and got the first one off of the truck....what a great bike only 35,500 original miles because i spent my summers touring with rock and roll bands....always wanted a newer one over the years but never felt any of the later gen VFR's had that much of a performance advantage to justify trading up...almost bought a CBR1100XX on a few occasions, but the touring again....always dreamed of the day when Honda would make a big HP V4....and the VFR12 couldn't have been closer to what i imagined ..... but the 750 is still a great one...the TRAC system did work well...i added new springs and a Fox Shock, K&N, and the slip ons only after the stock ones rusted....otherwise stock...always ran the Metzelers on it (yeah that 16" front !!!)...gonna do some work on it soon...carb rebuild and jet kit are def in order and i picked up a clutch kit when a local dealer closed recently

she was a victim of the initial top end oil feed problem...they replaced both complete cylinder heads at the 600 mi check up, cams were already a bit scored...they also installed a redesigned oil feed pipe and pump...never a problem after that, but they were known for their noisy valve trains !!!
