Anyone running handlebar risers? After my head on incident and metal plate in wrist I can only take so much pressure over time and hope these might help. I found some for about $110 and they raise the bars 3/4". Any thoughts out there. Thanks.

This is probably the Number One mod to these bikes. There are a few brands to choose from, Helibars being the top pick. GenMar makes a riser bracket that seems to be popular, too. There are a couple of adjustable bars available, but I don't know their names.
Raising the bars will allow you to sit more upright, which will take weight off of your wrist.

Thanks, I found the genmar version but not the others. Probably not much different in cost I assume. Thanks again.

the helibars are well over 200 dollars retail. There are deals, group buys every once in a while. There's always E-bay.

I have the HeliBars. They helped, but I still have wrist pain on rides over an hour. Selling the bike and getting an ST1100 in hopes of more comfort.

Honestly though, you may not want the VFR with your condition unless you just plan to buzz around town with it.

How much rise did the HeliBars give you?

I have the Genmars and they work good but the biggest difference I found was getting a Sargent seat. It flattens you out and doesn't push you into the bars. I then only need the Genmars when I go on long trips and it takes 5 min. or less to put them on. I don't think the genmars alone will help you as they are ony 3/4" but helibars are somewhere around 1-1 1/2' up and 1 1/2" back.
