After I ride my 84 vf700 for 20min or so my arms/elbows are killing me...

I guess its the position I'm riding trying to set up and ride...

Is there any other option as to what I can put on there? Any adapters to run motocross style bars or just a different position coupon that will work with the stock cables/lines....

I can deal with it and really its the only thing I don't like about my bike, not enough to sell it ofcourse...

    Thanks

keep riding it ..your body will become accustomed to the "new " riding position...unfortunatly folks don't make "helibars" or anything to that liking for the older bikes.....If you know someone that works with Aluminium...you might see if they can CnC you some out of solid aliminum...... switching your front end to newer forks would solve it but a whole lot of other stuff goes with it.....

    Good luck

What size forks are they? 37mm? 39mm? Figure out what other bikes have the same size forks and look for OEM higher bars or aftermarket bar risers, I bet helibar makes a standard 37mm or 39mm bar that will work. They don't have to be made only for the VF. You may need longer cables and brake/clutch lines. Good luck.

edit: Here's some genmar risers for the stock bars. http://www.zianet.com/GenMar/h119.html

    37mm forks btw.

I belive they are 37mm, my 500 was 37, and when i was looking into clip ons they had a set of clip ons for the 700 listed as 37mm. I had to measure the forks on my bike to find out the mm.
