Guy's Need Help with Diagnostic connector

    Guy's I bought a Gipro Honda VFR800 Gear Indicator off e bay and the problem I have is I wasn't paying attention when I ordered it. I have a 2005 and this part says it fits 2006 to 2009's. It says it plugs into the Diagnostic Connector Plug to the ECU? Does a 2005 have this plug? Any ideas if there is a way to make this work with a 2005? Any help would be really appreciated.

    Hello there. I've got the Glpro DS-Series hooked up to Diagnostic Connector Plug on my '07. I check their website and it will not work on the 2005. It was not until 2006 that they started putting the Diagnostic Connector on the ECU.
