Not sure what's wrong with the bike, I had to carefully examine the photos close to dozen times before I actually FOUND the VFR.

The tank emblem is wrong for that model. It should have the old school Honda wing from like the 60s.

Well spotted, the bike is a '99 50th Anniversary Gen 5, must admit there was some rather nice camouflage to contend with.

Lookin at teh pic in VFRKittn's photo gallery, not only is the tank decal wrong, but whe red wheel is most defiantely out of place. I think it should be silver in color. But then thats just me.

    Actually..

The tank emblem isn't ONLY wrong - the tank is wrong. Not only should it have an old fashioned emblem, but the correct tank also has silver pinstriping.

The red wheels are wrong too, it should have silver.

I know, that really wasn't the point of the first post anyway..

Well picked up on the Silver Pin stripping that and the new style Tank Honda Wings Emblem shows it is clearly the wrong Tank and as far as I can tell the only thing wrong in the actual Linked URL's Picture.

The point of the post was as a fun " Spot the difference " challange to see if anyone could spot the wrong tank decals Vs VFR varient as it had stood out to me when stumbled upon. As the URL is posted in the " Anything Goes " and still VFR related also thought it wouldn't cause offence with the Links disclaimer.

No problem, thought it an interesting find

The '99 50th Anniversary was also availabe in the UK and Europe...I have one myself, was actually after a Red '97 Gen 4 but found the Gen 5 50th with only 1900miles on it and in " as new " condition that made my knees all weak and wobbley. The traditional Red / Silver racing Colour's while not most popular are if nothing else at least interesting when viewed openly.

The CBS brakes on the Gen 5 & 6 ( with 6 being slightly better ) once used to are quite good, with normal riding can use the front Bias when in traffic or pulling up or using rear Bias when setting up for a corner or lightly even mid corner with ease without the bike standing up. Using both front and rear emergency braking is also brilliant with setup and squeeze stopping distances amazingly short with good control although that may be more to do with the VFR's low engine location ?

Honestly the only CBS "on road" negative is it may make you a little lazy so when you get on a non CBS bike you have to concentrate for a bit to get re-used to its absence.

Maybe others can add to the VFR's CBS benefits.

man, lots of things are wrong in that photo... 1st, I'm not taking the pictures, 2nd I can't see her face to see if it's worth the trouble, 3rd, the bike is not running adding a few vibrations to excite the shoot. Are you sure there is a bike there? I keep looking again, but it's almost like where's Waldo.
