hello vfr riders ...im recently rebuilding a 85 vf 500 and a pristine 87 vfr700F2 that was a one owner bike and sit for the last 15 years ..in a pretty decent enviroment ,not a scratch or dent on it, orig tires with the nubs still on the sides 9360 miles..getting it all detailed out and changing all the fluids replaced the orig brake pads..guy said it scared him so he didnt ride it very hard..nice bright pearl white paint thats not sun faded ..just got done doing the valves and fluids seals tires did repaint the rims they were not very fresh looking..got to ride it the other day at 30 deg and man what a rush..this thing will smoke my 86 vf700f thats calif emmissin carbed..its gonna get a nice set of 49state carbs its waiting for them now with the cal carbs sitting in a box..now that the 87 F2 almost done i wont want to ride it ..glad to see many parts on ebay..vf500 parts are another story good parts hard to find..might scrap that project..anyway ill be asking some general questions and stoopid stuff...60 yrs old and still like to see 125 on the speedo once in a while..got my mc endorsement in 1968..used to ahrma/wera roadrace a british bike a bsa victor in the 500cc class and did very well..so ill post a pic when i figure thatpart out ..thanks for the forum..gregg in ohio
