I have finally bought a VFR. When the V45 Interceptor was brand new, I used to go by Carter Honda in Vancouver to stare through the window. Twice I convinced them to let me loose for a test ride, but there was no way I'd ever be able to buy one!

22 years later, I have bought a mint 2003 VFR with ABS. It came with only 9200 KMs on it and a Leo Vince titanium exhaust. I love this motorcycle!

I do wonder, though, about two exhaust questions:

    1. when opening the throttle from idle (while moving), there is a real dead zone and then a surge of power; and
    2. the seller assured me that because of the FI, no Power Commander was necessary (unplug the ECU and let it re-learn").
Do the more learned among you agree with him about the Power Commander? Could this be related to the throttle sensitivity from idle?

Many thanks for any feedback, and thanks for all the tech info I've already found.

Hello and welcome to the forum boss! Glad to have you. If I am not mistaken, some of the early 6th gen did have some less than perfect fueling. A PC is not REQUIRED, however, it can improve things and give you more power when run with the correct mapping. I would look into it if I was you.
