great tool for dropping engines

Harbor Freight is blowing out these Gantrys for $180 (picked mine up last weekend). For me, it has made engine replacement much easier than the floor jack method. Back saver!

The width on this one is 7' 10"

I just bought a hydraulic table. I scoot the engine onto it and raise it up to working height, or lower it to install.

 

I wish I had a garage to put one of those in. You dont think I could make that work in my kitchen do you??? LOL!

 

Ummm...I haven't had any problems with the floor jack method. If it's available I'll use my ATV jack (currently has a CX motor sitting on it ). I could see how this would be useful in lieu of a cherry picker though.
