I had ATT service before but the GPS on the phone is sooooooooo slow, You would missed the turn before the GPS tell you. Also there customer service suck........

One of 2...I think GPS is quite unnecessary, unless it is a Spot or you are going to be doing some type of Baja 500, Baja 1000 or some other endurance type offroad racing. Why anyone in the US would need such a device is beyond me, and if somebody brings up the speedometer thing i'm gonna puke, because you could have bought a speedo healer. Also it would be interesting to know how many accidents are caused by people paying more attention to a mini tv screen than looking at the road, just a like cell phone.......Then again, if you wanna look cool at the Stuckfucks when the beemer crowd is posing......it's a must have, otherwise you would lose all of your cred and just be the guy on the poor man's beemer.

Why do you say that? What file format do you use?

 

I would not recommend this or any phone GPS combo. I have had AT&T for years and although thier service is reliable, when you try to add GPS nav to phones, something has to give. When I commute or scoot around town my Garmin fits into my tank bag and connects to my helmet via blue tooth. My eyes stay on the road like the should and I get turn by turn directions when I need them. For weekend road trips I am considering buying a camera/GPS mount that can hold either.

I judt got it from sprint and I love it so far it has everything all in one. plus a FULL keyboard and touch screen. I also have a High def screen with like 640X800 resolution

 

my samsung eturnity has all the same features phone gps tv mp3 internet plus more for 1/3 the price so piss off garmin

 

My family plan is three unlocked iphones on t-mobile.
I do cellular for a living so I got a pretty good price on a single line with verizon.
My verizon gets coverage like a landline no matter where I go. Att/Sprint/T-mobile coverage is not even close.
I am in the bussiness so I know.
Here is the truth:

1.verizon
2.sprint
3.att
4.t-mobile
nextel is not even worth mentioning as they haven't put any money into their network in years.

Nationwide coverage in that order. 1 being the best, 4 being the worst.

Verizon is expensive.

sprints got major customer service and billing issues

att is very deceptive with its marketing, a downright shady company. more bars in more places...read the fine print guys. They are not talking about coverage in the USA they are talking about worldwide. So unless you care about coverage in fiji or the swiss alps, go with verizon.

t-mobile was real good for the money, but now are getting a little too big for there briches, they need to keep there price down, they dont have enough coverage for the new more expensive plans.

I get telenav for free, but havent added it yet. I will post back when I am using it ( it should come through my bluetooth helmet ). On my verizon plan.

P.S.I hope I dont get fired for telling the truth on this one lol.
Everybody in the bussiness knows all this, but I know that consumers may not.
So there is the truth from someone that knows.
And it is amazing to me how attached people are to there phones and carriers, hope I didnt offend anyone.

 

TelNav is standard on all Blackberry's & I've used it for years for "pre" trip planning but never used it for in trip navigation so I'll be waiting to see how it works for ya. Thanks
