I got my notice from the mothership, American Honda Motor Co.

"What should I do?" it says,
Please call your authorized Honda motorcycle dealer and make an appointment to have your VFR800 repaired. The dealer will install a newely designed front fairing wiring sub-harness free of charge. Please plan to leave your motorcycle for at least one day to allow the dealer flexibilty in scheduling.

Honda strongly recommends that you do not ride your VFR until it has been repaired.

    and so it goes!

What do you mean "What should I do"?

Call your dealer, make sure they have the part, make a appointment, take it in (with a copy, not the original letter), get it in writing the down time & get it fixed.

    Seems simple to me

Remember this is a recall, not warranty work, so if your bike so happens to be on warranty still, remember that "ANY" time in a shop under warranty/recall, those day's are extended on your warranty (example-my bike was in for warranty work for 2 weeks, my warranty gets extended 2 more weeks!). this in itself save me some bucks when the rear hub bearings seized & it was 10 day's after the original warranty was up, but I had 27 shop day's there for my warranty was still valid & they fixed it for Freeeeeeee
