Found a cool old car in an older widows garage, so I bought it! Sorry forgot my camera, won't get it home for a couple of weeks (weather). Heres what I scored, 1974 Caprice Classic convertable, original owner, 54,000 miles, all options, 454 big block, TH400 trans. The good: always garaged, never wrecked, all trim perfect, new white top, car is white with blue interior, inside is perfect, paint is original, and in excellent shape (should buff out like new). The bad: Been sitting for 5 years, all 4 tires flat as a board, top has been down for all 5. All the fluids look really new and clean. The plan: do the very miminal to get it running well, detail the bejesus out of it, sell it at the Mecums auto auction here in Kansas City in March. Bought it for $4500.00 Hoping to get 9 or 10K. Probably will have to spend 1K or so to get it just right. What do you think? I promise to post pic's just as soon as I get it home.
nice...hope the top is in good condition being down for all those years ...but at least its not sun baked......should be easy to get started...fresh battery fresh gasoline...and bang she will be up and running...
