Well I bought an '86 700F2 last fall in pretty sad shape. She hadn't been ridden or titled in well over 10 years but started right up. Guy was asking $400 so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I could have done with out all the broken fairings and flat black paint job, but figured it would be a nice project. Ten months later, two tires, fresh fluids and a number of other things and man can she move! Mechanically she's sound, now it's just body work. The headlight mounts are bent the wrong way and there's a number of other things you can see just from 1 picture, but I love it so I figured this would be the place to be for help and advice. So I just wanted to say hi, and glad to be here.

Looking good!! I seem to fall into bikes that haven't moved under their own power in years (currently 4), but if you can clean carbs, you can get some pretty good deals!!

I found a local upholstery guy and he recovers seats for me. You might check around locally, it's loads better than replacing the seat, and you get to choose the material and colors.
