Givi saddle bag mounts 85 VF700F

As a proud owner of an immaculate, showroom 85 VF700F with under 5K miles, I am interested in any info someone could give me about fitting a Givi saddle bag mounting system from a similar bike.

I am a Goldwing owner and bought the VF rather than an additional BMW. This bike is sweet.

I mounted up the Givi wingrack on my '86. There's pretty much nothing available for custom fit on these older bikes any more, so I used the universal fit kit. Givi said it wouldn't work, as did a local Givi dealer, but after a couple evenings in the garage, I got it sorted out.
