I have two Givi racks and the rubber bumpers keep disappearing from the top plates. I just ordered two new sets (P/N Z126) and they just barely lock in the holes. I don't think these ones are going to stick around very long themselves. I'll probably end up trying to silicone them in, but have my doubts that this will work.

Has anyone else had this problem, or came up with a surefire solution.

There is a product called Sugru (find it here: Sugru.com) It is a two part silicon polymer that can be formed into most any shape and sticks to most materials. When it sets it is somewhat pliable, but more substantial than silicone or RTV. You may be able to make your own bumpers or use it to glue in the stock ones. It's pretty good stuff. Lots of examples on their web page. Might be worth a try.

Yep... I've had the same issue on my Concours. I haven't ordered any replacements yet, but silicon didn't last too long. I've caught the plugs when they come off save one. I even tried a little oil on the very top so they don't stick to my box.

So where did you get the replacements karazy?

I got mine at the local dealer, but I have seen them for sale online, for about $3-4 for a set of 4.
