    Hello there,
I was wondering if any of you have experience with Givi's PLXR Quick release rack for the V35 sidecases.
I've heard the quick release models hold the luggage closer to the bike (when compared to the regular PLX model), is this true? If so, by how much exactly?
I'm looking to order these racks and bags in the next few days in preparation for a long scoot to Cabot's trail in Nova Scotia which is about 1200 miles away from central New York.
I would like to purchase whichever rack has a tighter profile to the bike.
    Thanks!
    -Eric

I'm surprised that no one had anything to offer...
Anyway, bought the PLXR racks and V35 bags. They arrived yesterday.
Pain in the ass to install. As I read on this forum, Givi has terrible directions.. and crappy pictures (black and white pics of parts that are black (rack) and poor contrast.) Must say that the installation isn't terrible once I got the hang of it.
Tip for installation: Attach the rack starting at the back, or it's just too damn stiff to line up all the bolts. Unless you're Conan the Barbarian, just attach the bracket that attaches near the license plate first. Then only minimal effort is required to tighten down the rest of the quick release attachments.
Sorry for no pics. I may take pics and post a separate thread at some point due to the lack of info in this regard on the forum.
    -Eric

Im currently shopping around and trying to figure wich kit the OEM or the Givi Plxr to
get . Would you say the plxr does fit closer to the bike than the old Givi one or is it still
pretty far compare to the OEM ?

I'm having big problem fitting -givi-plxr1132 on 2016 VFR800. After a fight I thought I had it but the bar at the now seems like it's too long or the racks are too far apart. I'll try again with your tip above but if you've got any photos it would be good. This is my second attempt, first time I bought Shad kit and that didn't stand a chance of fitting!!

I'd like to get a set of PLXR1132 side brackets, but cannot find them in stock anywhere. Does anyone have a set of sale or know where I could get a set?
