My last rides on my VFR Before I put her in the shop to be stripped down for painting. It will take two or three weeks before I have her back all Black and Pink. I feel like a kid wait for Christmas:eagerness:

Good choice on color. Much better than red or blue...

Pink can be so, well, girly, but when you add the black to it, it becomes kind of edgy. I think it will be a good look for you Nikki. Those three weeks will probably drag for you. Looking forward to your pics.

I always like the Honda VTR colors of white, teal and pink.

I would ride a pink bike but hey don't make a matching helmet in men's XXL.

Nah. John Britten made Pink cool when he chose to put it on his V1000.

I actually got to examine one up close and personal during "The Art of the Motorcycle" show when it came to the Field Museum in Chicago John.

It was a strikingly beautiful piece of machinery that was well ahead of it's time.

I say go for it Cafox. :thumb:

I got to see a Britten up close and personal at the Barber Museum. They had signs that said 'don't touch" but you could get very very close and see every detail. It was amazing.

Thanks John, this nice weather we are having here in California is not helping me missing my bike. Once I get her back it will be lots of VFR therapy. My camera is ready for the photo shoot.

I saw this on CL out of Waco, TX. I think this looks great. I would ride it. I don't care what color a bike is. I probably couldn't get a matching pink helmet in my size though.

That looks cool, mine will be more of a hot pink. My helmet will not match, it is black. Cost $200 to paint helmets and then another $200 for airbrush, thats in addition to the cost of my Schuberth S2 $575. I painted and airbrushed a helmet before, it was nice, but it was a Scorpion 700 series for $250. I will stick to black helmets now.

Hot pink is even better. Yes, the F4i has a bit of cuddly bunny look to it.

I can't keep mustard off my shirt and I can't keep from getting blemishes in my paint. I have to get my helmets off the rack so to speak and I leave the really nice paint work to people that can actually take care with it. I am happy if I can get a lid to match my yellow Viffer. I think is I had the money for a VFR1200 I would like to have it painted in the same yellow as my Y2K or maybe even the RWB colors. I saw an ST1300 painted the RWB scheme and it looked like a completely different bike. Very hot indeed.

    Everything goes with basic black!

I had forgotten that the Britten had some pink in it's color scheme. What I remembered most was how awesome that header was. Thanks for the pics Stosh.

Pink VFR-2.jpg Pink VFR-1.jpg Yes it is driving me nuts. It will be soon, the paint and airbrush was finished on last Friday and I took the panels straight to my mechanic, told him to hurry the hell up now because I need to ride. I will not be putting on the very front parts of the bike with the airbrush, it needs 28 days to totally dry before I can take it to get the Expel clear bra installed. I ordered replacement panels for the front from Nice Cycle, had them painted black, so I can ride with them until May. I can't wait another month for it to dry. Here are some pics of the front airbrush.

That's some crazy shit right there!

Not something you typically see on a Honda which is kinda refreshing.

I like to use that Hello Kitty picture when I talk to someone new about bikes. I tell them I have a VFR and show them that pic just to see the look on their face.

Cafox....can't wait to see your finished ride. I like how you added the sport bike on the tank.
Sorry ya have to wait.....and wait. If it helps any the weather has been teasing us here in Utah. It pretends it's going to be nice then get's cloudy & 30 degrees. Guess when you do get to ride the finished work you will sit up straighter & smile with pride all that much more, saying...."Ya that's my bike"
