Why oh why did I wait so long to get this stuff???

If you've even considered buying it - DO.
I've been trying for 2 years to stay warm on my 30+ minute commute to work (I leave at 6:30am - in Illinois, it can be real cold early in the morning & hot in the after noon...) I've spend hundreds of dollars on different jackets, gloves etc...nothing worked that great. I even got in to the beginning stages of hypothermia a few times

Thursday I tried to go for a ride but just got to cold to fast so I had to cut it alot shorter than I wanted to.
I decided I was tired of being cold and not riding when the weather was great except for the temp. Time to give the gerbing heated stuff a shot and see if it was all people say it is. After all, I tried everything else, nothing else worked.

Friday morning I drove to a near by dealer who specializes in Gold wings...I figured they would have the Gerbing in stock (no one else did).
Sure enough - they had it so I bought the jacket liner, controller & a Kury volt meter just to keep an eye on things.
Drove home, installed the controller, plugged in and went for a ride to try it out...
oh yeah, it was 38 degrees and my "test" ride lasted for 2 HOURS.
All I had on was the Gerbing jacket liner, insulated gloves, a first gear leather (no liner) a t-shirt and blue jeans...
The Gerbing stuff is amazing - I went back friday and bought the gloves (why I didn't get them to start with...I don't know).
I think I'll be good now, no matter what the temp.

Pricy? - YES and worth every cent...if I would have bought it 2 years ago, I would have saved money.

I have had the liner, gloves, and socks for a couple of winters now. A day of riding in 20 degree temperatures is just as much fun as a mid summer ride for me now.

I recently purchased a set of glove liners. They work well under the heated gerbings to prevent sweating.

Make sure to watch the forcast. I've gotten stuck riding home in the snow twice this winter.
