Hi all you vfr riders. I had my first reasonable ride yesterday about 50 miles, but I do live on a small island off the south coast of the English mainland. It was very enjoyable for an old girl with 96000 miles under her belt she can get a shift on. My only comment is with the standard bars being a bit too low for comfort, Has anyone got any thoughts about fitting Genmar risers to ease the discomfort on my wrists. I think convertibars will be too radical for my 1992 VFR. Thanks all take care enjoy the ride. Nigel
If this is of any help, I have a set of Genmars I bought but have not installed yet. I did read a lot about different risers and decided on these over others. I like that they kept a good look to the bike but moreover that, although small, the height increase did make riding much more comfortable according to those who had installed. Everyone seemed happy with the Genmars and said it does not take much to change the riding position. I am sure other risers would raise the riding position even higher but I disliked the look many gave to the bike. Cheers.
Genmar risers Hi folks. I have fitted the Genmars which is very simple and straight forward. The job took about 20 minutes. And the make enough of a difference to make my wrists happier. They are worth the cost etc. Take care ride safe.
Great to hear another satisfied customer. Guess I need to dig mine out of the closet and get off my arse and install them. Glad you like them.
