    Hi guys,

I know that there is a thread of the fitment for gen6 tank on gen5 (http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/44704-Gen-6-fuel-tank-fit-Gen-5)

But I am having trouble finding a sweet photo of what this looks like compared to stock.

My bike was recently knocked over and now has a nice big dent in it. The fellow who knocked it over offered to buy and have a new tank painted for me. Im intrigued by the larger capacity and slightly more modern styling.

If anyone can provide a pic of their gen5 with gen6 tank, I would appreciate it.

My bike has the helmet box ;)

    Cheers,

Not sure if you're interested but I'll throw it out there. I've got a 5th gen tank from a parts bike that is in excellent condition (about the only non scuffed part of the bike LOL) that I could sell you. It's even the same color, Red, since it's the rarest color. ;)

PM me if interested. Site member tinkerinWstuff created a great 5.5 Gen VFR800. His bike is a gen 5 with a gen 6 tank and rear subframe. Check out post 328 on page 11 and there's a short video of his project with some photos at the end.
