gen 6 VFR race cip ons-will the ywork?

these generic 43 mill clip(link below) ons are listed as being ok for the gen 6 VFR-they of course have no rise compared to the stock bars-ie lower than stock . I would actually like this feature but wonder if a bar that low would result in my fingers being squished between the bar and tank in a tank slapper or possible dent the tank in a fall. anyone know for sure if these would be OK?

bike is used exclusively for track days.
