Hi, I thought I'd seen a thread somewhere here a while back about using the new injectors used in the Generation 6 motor in the Generation 5.
The new ones have 12 ports for better fuel atomisation.

    Thanks!

I would be willing to bet that Honda changed them. I know they are different on the F4i when compared to the RR and that was a change from 4 port to 12 port. But the RR does have another set of "showering injectors" so maybe that is why the mains are different. The taper in the throttle bodies is different so they aren't interchangeable on the 600's. I would be willing to bet the same on the VFR. Those 12 port injectors are insane!!! The holes are TINY!!! I bet it definitely helps with fuel atomization but I bet they clog easier also. Plus you don't really utilize better fuel atomisation until you are getting into the 12000 rpm plus range. It may help with overall fuel economy slightly, but probably not enough to drop $500 on new injectors.

Just my $.02 from building a racecar using a 600cc F4i and now an RR

btw, do you have any pics of that race car with the rr mill?

    thanks again,
