Just got a 2008 silver beauty and considering installing a gear indicator, what is the best to go with?

I have to admit I'm one of those who can't see the point of a gear indicator.
You must know what gear you're in, and who looks at the dash?
IMHO I think there are better things to spend the effort on.
But they do make them, so people must like them.

I hear you, I don't get it, but I hear you,
I'm the type that needs more revs, or I don't, gear position makes no difference.
And I never look for 7th, as a matter of fact, I rarely use 6th. Bloody hell, 5th takes you over 200kmh, how fast are you going to need 7th?

    Yep, that's me too.

I did have one once, the 1980 Suzuki GS1000G came with a gear indicator. I thought it was pretty cool, but after a while I found
I used it very infrequently. The only time I ever really looked was when I was rolling down the road and wanted to see if I was in
5th. Other than that, it loses its Gee Whiz factor pretty quick.
