Hi, just joined and this is my first post. Upgraded my ZZR250 last thursday for a 98 VFR. Wow, what a difference. With a staintune and no baffle, the sound reminds me of an old V8 monaro! Awesome! The extra poke is very nice too.
just a little upgrade! i got a 11/98 VFR last october and am very happy after riding a 250 for my L's and P's. hope you enjoy it.
I am almost ashamed to admit that considering I put 20k on the ZZR, I can't think of anything I miss about it yet! The sound that eminates from the staintune pipe (minus baffle) is simply awesome!
Hi prblock, how have you found your 98 so far? Have you had any problems or concerns? Have you put many k's on it yet?
Other than me dropping it when I first got it because of the slight lug when taking off, and me dropping it in an off-camber left on a cold day, and me dropping it when taking off the front end, nope.
I understand what you mean regarding the "lug" when taking off. I had a slow motion "panic, legs out and swear moment" myself the other day. My 98 VFR isn't particularly comfortable or tidy under 2k either. Sensitive.....or just plain arrogant....I am not sure yet. However, for all of the other things she does, I currently forgive her. Stay upright, Cheers.
Hiya mkbart! great choice on the step up from the kwaka. I'll keep an eye and ear open for your two wheel Monaro! Cheers,
After a quick a look at your online pics, it seems to me that you like to get out and about. I will keep a look out for a blue streak around the ACT and our nearby mountain roads. Stay Upright, Cheers.
i've done about 4000 kays in 6 months but would like to ride heaps more. unfortunately work and wedding plans are currently getting in the way of riding. No problems so far, mine has done a few kays to (47000), mainly highway, but was well looked after so i dont expect any major problems.
Thanks, I have managed to get a week off work and have arranged to meet up with my old man (currently riding a Virago 1100) in Ulladulla NSW. We are heading North for 4 days or until it rains (in which case we will head (West) inland as they need the rain more than we do!!). Once we have been gone for 4 days we then have 3 more to get back! I hope that I will have developed an "increased sense of throttle control" by the time I get back........... Cheers, Stay Upright.
