I remember back in the mid-70's there was a huge fire in the Angeles National Forest and during recess at school we had to play indoors, outside the sky was orange and grey, the ashes falling from the sky looked like grey snow flakes, the grounds was covered in ash and it was very hard to see and even be outdoors. The fires lasted a while and destroyed so many homes and a lot the country side.

I wonder if they are borrowing any of our firefighters from So Cal? I know when things get rough over here we get fire fighters from all over to help out, even get planes from Canada!

I rode that area two years ago. Such a pretty place. I may have to visit there again and see what it looks like now.

It's over with the rain that came yesterday. The place recovers fast. I'll be over there this Spring.
