if you are having a problem with the tank covers (red side panels) getting scratched up and dulled in the knee area, try Meguiar's PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish.!!! i did it this morn and it works great!! because it's designed for clear plastic headlights, windshields and face shields, it actually fills in small scratches and it filled the scratches in the clear coat !! looks like new, and they were getting pretty bad...it works great on faceshields too, gets rid of the scratches

And after you're done polishing out the scratches, put a tankslapper kit on it. Problem solved.

thnx Dave ordered the tankslapper tank kit a few weeks ago, finally installed it yesterday. honestly i bought them but didn't think i would like them/ they would work well....but i am pleasantly surprised with the results !! very easy to apply and they really are nearly invisible ..only did the two tank side pieces...putting the Honda CF tank pad on center section...good tip, i hadn't heard of the tankslapper before this !! thnx
