Changed oil yesterday and noticed a strong smell of gas in the used oil, haven't noticed this before. Bike is an 06 with approx 6300 miles on it. Usually when I ride it's always a long ride, minimum of 23 miles one way to work, not a lot of short trips. I've got the O2 sensors blocked off, could this cause the bike to run way to rich and further dilute the oil? Also, I see in the shop manual there is a fuel shut off switch, could this be malfunctioning and dumping fuel into the cylinders after shut off? Really need some advice here cause me and a buddy are leaving out for Deals Gap this coming Sunday for a week long stay. Thanx in advance.
