For those of you with new(er) bikes, while you have the plastics off the bike, make sure you give the radiator hose clamps a quick tightening with a socket, not just a screwdriver. My bike which I bought with 2500 miles on it started spitting a little coolant last weekend. A quick tightening and all is well. I didn't have a problem until I hit over 5,000 miles but the clamps were pretty loose. Rather catch it early instead of when you're on mile 600 of a weekend trip.

FYI, this is a pretty common occurence with new bikes, no reason for panic. Seen it many times.

I've started to go through the items in the 600 mile service. I'll certainly add this check. I'm having a bit of an issue with the "check and tighten bolts" part of the service though. The official Helms factory service manual generically states check all chassis bolts. Does anyone have a precise list of all bolts that should be checked?

I'd suggest you locate and download the PDF version of the service manual. That should help you. I know it's on this site somewhere, do a search for "service manual".

I have the service manual, it does not list the specific bolts and fasteners to be checked.
