FWS 1000 or (RS 1000RW) The one that started it all!

Just thought I would post about this legendary bike...I looked into the history of the VF1000R that I have and wanted to know more about it and ran across this bike and allot of info about it. Real cool stuff I thought I would share with pics..probably already been posted in the past but oh well..LOL

You know whats a shame , that i just saw that paint scheme on the DC metro bus (wish i took a pic of it)

It`s a shame that Honda built such a great V4 engine & races an inline4 now ???

Here is the RS 850R that was raced in 1983. All aluminum frame!

 

Both bikes had the first gear driven cams in a V4. The first production bike with gear driven cams was the 85 VF1000R.

 

I thought this was cool

 

I wish AMA would have races of these bikes of the 80's with the superbike races

Along the same lines, I would like them (AMA) to go back to a structure that makes sense. Today you just never know what the hell is running against what.
