I have a '03 and the main fuse holder near the battery is melting Yes. I said melting, It blew the first time but when I replaced it the fuse, it actually heated up and melted the housing. This is the one that gives power to the injection system. The Fuse holder appeared to have some bad connections and brittle wires, so I bypassed the old holder and ran a new fuse to the spade connector, and everything seems to be working fine.

My question is about the harness recall, does anyone know exactly what harness is replaced? If this harness is included?

I just don't want to bring it to the dealer and get a huge bill for something I could have done myself.

I would at least call the service department at the dealer to find out if they had seen the problem before, and what the options are. It is doubtful that they would replace anything under warranty, but one never knows.

The harness recall, I believe, had to do with problematic grounding for the front end of the bike.
