I have started running my 95VFR w/ a half full tank. It seems to be a lot less top heavy and much more rideable. I can stll get 100mi. before refills. I used to always made sure I was totally full and the bike seemed awfully top heavy.

Has anyone else noticed such, or am I justfull of carp?

I have never really noticed any difference when my tank is full and with the tank bag even filling up prior to a canyon carving session. However, it does give you an excuse to pull over and rest when needing to refuel. I would not like to be stranded out of gas somewhere especially where I live! I think you need to use the toilet now.

The difference in feel between a half tank and a full tank on my 2002 VFR800 is noticable. IIRC gasoline weighs about 6 pounds per gallon, so half filling the tank saves you about 2.5 gallons or 15 pounds relatively high on the bike. While I can tell the difference, it doesn't matter much to me, as I weigh about 245 geared up.

I believe in Murphy's Law, so I always fill my tank to the brim.

What have you been doing to be full of carp?

    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I don't notice the difference in weight. But that could be becuase I am used to a mx bike, even though the weight of fule is carried low on those. Or maybe I am just weird. Yeah, that's gotta be it. lol
