    I have both a 1986 VFR750F and a 1984 VF1000-Yes lucky me although the 1986 VFR750 is being restored.

When going to re-install the ful tank petcock I noticed the sealing gasket looked a bit rough (age cracks and chips).

I go online and find on the VFR750F that the rubber gasket is NOT listed separately--but that on the VF10)F that the part IS listed as a separate piece.

CVhecking part numbers I see that the fuel petcock for the 1986 VFR750 and the 1984 VF1000F carry the same part number.

Does this mean the gasket--PART NUMBER GASKET 16958-MB4-005 WILL fit on the VFR750F??

    Anyone know first hand?

    Thank you

Part numbers can be deceiving. Are both PNs Honda designations or PNs from a secondary supplier? A mixture maybe? A look a the petcock on the "other" bike might be a clue to fitment.

If you cannot order same. probably coming with a new petcock.. (Gotta love that shit) , make one. All sorts of gasket materials out there as well as a wide selection of O rings that could fit. In a pinch, a piece of silicone from a piece of cooking/baking silicone can be used.

I'm looking for a perfect fit for a pair of the OEM "Stanley" headlamps that Honda (unknown PN) installed on several versions of VFRs, STs and Wings. Sylvania and others claim that their's fit but do not. The shims suck and so does removing one tab on an aftermarket lamp.

Since Honda parts can be all over the map pricewise, a source that is reasonable and has a pair in stock would make my day..

Part numbers are not always the same game.. Once upon a time I was going to add another disc brake to my Yamaha SR-500. Yamaha had the part (s) under one number and after looking around I found the same part (s) that were the same thing on the Yamaha 650 vertical twin that was on the market for almost 20 years. Same deal with the XR and SR engines..

Never added the extra disc brake...too heavy and would cause front end dive.. I'm not that fast anyway...;)
